The AMI_CI POLITICAL PARTY [an acronym for Artists, Musicians, Inventors (and other) Creative Individuals]. Pronounced "AMICI" after the Italian word for "friends" (but written with an underscore between Ami and CI as: AMI_CI) is a new political party that serves creative persons. It represents those individuals who are severely disenfranchised from the dominant political parties, and to whom creative expression is primary in their existence.

The AMI_CI party urges a valuation of imaginative thinking as opposed to the current hyper-valuation of analytical/technical thinking that so predominates in today’s world. This implies the application of imaginative solutions to the plethora of world problems. However, the AMI_CI party does not dismiss reasoned and strategic thinking; rather, as in the Gandhian tenets, it believes in creating the world where its members would like to live.

AMI_CI Party members are natural allies of the OWS (Occupy Wall Street) 99%rs, Greens, Peace and Freedom Party, a few left-leaning Dems, friendly shamans, psychonauts, and fringe thinkers, although they may diverge from any of these groups in terms of the emphasis on creativity and mindful activism.  The AMI_CI party is an attempt to broaden the horizons of Democracy1.

The AMI_CI party is based on the model of Renaissance Italy, a time period in which the arts flourished (and the creations remain valuable to this day) as a result of patronage. The AMI_CI party is however, non-Eurocentric.  All cultures are valued for their contributions to the world and cultural differences are understood as the basis for what makes life interesting on this planet.

No graphic logo has yet been established and it is planned that this will be created and re-created continually by registered party members.
